This cannot be applied in remote areas, such as high mountains, because flasks are very heavy and liquid nitrogen evaporates in a few weeks. We invented a new method, which is much more suitable for field conditions - plant tissues can only be boiled in hot 50% ethanol, using simple equipment. This fully ensures denaturation of enzymes and plants tissues can be easily transported in small test tubes and can be stored for more than a month.
