    AnotaceIn this study we measured precipitation, spring discharge and evapotranspiration in order to explain the existence of diurnal oscillation of spring discharge presented at forest stand catchment and its comparison with grassland spring discharge. Measurements were carried out in forest stand and a grassland site at the Ecological Experimental Study Site Bily Kriz, Moravian-Silesian Beskydy Mts., the Czech Republic. Even thought, precipitation at the forest and the grassland sites were without significant differences and both spring are of the same type, difference between courses of spring discharge were found during the period after raining. Our time series analysis supported the hypothesis that the forest spring discharge oscillation responds to the evapotranspiration.
