Vydávání Husových spisů mu dlouho tradici. Tato stať připomíná jednu z jeho etap - v Československé akademii věd v létech 1953-1959. Stať sleduje činnost komise pro vydávání Husových spisů a mnohé obtíže organizačního a koncepčního rázu, s nimiž se vyrovnávala, na základě materiálů úřední povahy a prohlubuje tak dosavadní svědectví editorů. Vedení ČSAV chápalo projekt vydávání Husových spisů jako mimořádnou záležitost, do čela příslušné komise byl jmenován Zdeněk Nejedlý, tehdejší prezident ČSAV, ale přesto či právě proto vydávání jednotlivých svazků prestižního projektu ztroskotávalo.

There is a big tradition connected with the publication of Hus' writings. This essay reminds one of its period - in The Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences 1953-1959. The essay pursues the activity of The Commision for the publication of Hus' writings and the efford to set right many inconventions of the organization and conception character on the bases of the materials of the official character and so it deepen the testimony of the editors. The lead of CSAV took the project of publication Hus' writings as the exeptional proposition . At the head of the commission was elected Zdeněk Nejedlý, at the time president of CSAV but nevertheless - or therefore - the publishing of the particular volume has been wrecked.
