This contribution reports on the experimental investigation of the effect of the operating pressure and electrodes surface roughness on gas-liquid flow in the thin-gap electrochemical microreactor. For description of gas-liquid flow in the microreactor two hydrodynamic characteristics were selected: flow pattern and bubble size distribution. Experimental data obtained by visualization of gas-liquid flow in microreactor were evaluated by image processing using Matlab Image Processing Toolbox. Our results show that in a thin-gap microreactor the four distinct flow patterns may exist. Namely, the flow without bubbles, dispersed bubbly flow, bubbly flow and churn flow were observed.
