Das keltische Glas war zwei Hundert Jahre, im 3.-1. Jahrhundert, bei der Kelten in Gebrauch; Rohglas war wahrscheinlich aus Mittelmeer importiert. Zur Herstellung von Schmuck waren zur dieser Zeit auch schwarze Werkstoffe, z. B. Sapropelit, benützt.

Celtic glass was used by the Celts for two hundert years, in 3rd-1st cent. BC; raw glass was probably imported from the Mediterranean. In the same time, ornaments were also made from black materials, e.g. sapropelite.
