Kniha se zabývá vznikem, posláním a osudy souboru nástěnných maleb v pražském klášteře Na Slovanech zvaném též Emauzy. Malby vznikly přibližně mezi léty 1365 a 1372 za vlády císaře Karla IV. Těžiště knihy spočívá na ikonografické interpretaci obrazového cyklu.

This book deals with the origin, the function and the history of wall paintings in the ambit of Prague monastery Na Slovanech called Emauzy. The paintings were created probably between the years 1365 and 1372 during the reign of the emperor Charles IV. The focus lies on the detailed explication of the iconography of entire paintings.
