We consider the Cauchy problem for the equations of selfgravitating motions of a barotropic gas with density-dependent viscosities mu(rho), and lambda(rho) satisfying the Bresch-Desjardins condition, when the pressure P(rho) is not necessarily a monotone function of the density.
