This work describes DNA nuclease activity of conjugates composed of the cyclic peptide cyc-D-Lys-Gly-Arg-Ser-Arg conjugated to anthraquinone highlighting the various chemical features that are required for efficient DNA degradation by such metal-free DNA cutters.
