The review describes the organisational structure and research actvities of the Institute in the years 2001-2003. Management and research divisions are mentioned very briefly and in more detail are described three major research directions together with one-page annotations of selected results. The review also includes the list of selected publications. In a form of supplements are included: list of projects supported from external sources, conference travelling, international and educational activities.

Ročenka představuje organizační strukturu a výzkumné aktivity ústavu v letech 2001 až 2003. Stručně je uveden management a vědecké sekce a podrobněji jsou charakterizovány hlavní směry výzkumu pěstované v ústavu. K hlavním směrům jsou přiřazeny anotace významných výsledků dosažených ve sledovaném období. Ročenka dale obsahuje seznam vybraných publikovaných výsledků. V dodatcích jsou uvedeny: seznam projektů financovaných z externích zdrojů, projekty řešené v rámci mezinárodní spolupráce a pedagogické aktivity.
