Entrainment of air into an argon plasma jet was studied by both the theoretical and experimental means. The theoretical part of the contribution uses the Fluent commercial model modified with the special attention paid to the arc description. This 2D model allows to describe the velocity and temperature fields in nozzle and in the plasma jet.
