An analogue of dDAVP having a methylated nitrogen of the peptide bond between tyrosine and phenylalanine was synthesized on solid phase and characterized by physico-chemical methods and by antidiuretic assays. The peptide had substantially lower antidiuretic activity than dDAVP.
