Recenze pozitivně hodnotí latinsko-německé vydání jmenovaného spisu, jímž chtěl J.A. Komenský údajně ovlivnit politické dění v Polsku. Tento předsudek dosud žije v části polské historiografie a publicistiky. Vydavatel proto upozorňuje na nepovšimnuté dimenze textu, zvláště na jeho příbuznost s tradicí "knížecích zrcadel". Komenský zde vykreslil obraz ideálního vládce, etické posuzování politiky spojuje "Panegyricus" s nápravným myšlením "Obecné porady".

The review gives a positive evaluation of the Latin-German edition of the political and laudatory appeal by J.A. Comenius, allegedly written to influence the political affairs in Poland. This prejudice prevails in a part of the Polish historiography and journalism even today. The editor points out some rather neglected features of the "Panegyricus", its close relationship to the tradition of specula principis. Comenius uses the memorandum to delineate the image of the ideal prince; the ethical approach to the policy links it with the concept of emendatio in the "General Consultation".
