Diese Arbeit bietet eine neue Interpretation der löffelartigen Geräte vom Pavlov I in Südmähren. Die beiden Autoren schlagen vor dass diese Objekte konnten als Speerspitzen benutzt worden. Die Unterschiede in Dimensionen konnten als verschiedene funktionelle Anpassungen erklärt werden.

This paper offers a new possibility to interpret the spoon like ivory tools from the eponymeous eastern Gravettian site Pavlov I at the northern edges of the Pavlov Mountains in Southern Moravia. Primary based on the rich material of the excavation campaigns in 1954 and 1956 the authors will be able to show, that the spoon like ivory tools could be used as spear points. Even the big difference in the dimensions of the big sized and the miniaturized spoon like tools is no reason for the absence of a utilization of this objects. The difference in the dimensions may be a functional adaptation on different hunted species.
