Úvaha o současném stavu české archeologie jakoĹto východisku budoucnosti. Archeologie ukazuje člověka jako mimopřírodní entitu, která v podobě artefaktľ tvoří svľj lidský svět. Pohled z minulosti dává tušit i budoucnost naší discipliny: v archeologii je skryta velká potence sebepoznání člověka.

Reflections on the present state of archaeology in the Czech Republic as a starting point for future developments. Archaeology shows man as an entity outside nature, who creates the human world in the form of artifacts. A view from the past makes it possible to conjecture the future of the discipline: archaeology has a great potential for the self-knowledge on the part of Man.
