Our paper includes comparative ultrastructural study of the frontal gland in presoldiers, soldiers, imagoes, and nymph-soldier intercastes induced by JHA W-328 of Prorhinotermes simplex. Quantification of E-1-nitropentadecene have shown, that the highest amount of this defensive substance occurs in soldiers, moderate amount occurs in imagoes, while it is missing in both presoldiers and intercastes

Článek obsahuje srovnávací ultrastrukturální studii frontální žlázy u bílých vojáků, vojáků, dospělců a interkastů nymfa-voják indukovaných s pomocí JHA W-328 u druhu Prorhinotermes simplex. Kvantifikace E-1-nitropentadecenu ukázala, že největší mžství obranné látky je u vojáků, menší množství u dospělců, zatímco u bílých vojáků a interkastů obranná látka chybí
