Results of crystal-structure and magnetization study performed on the UCoAl_{1 - y}Si_y and UCoAl_{1 - y}Ge_y solid solutions with x(0.4 are presented. The substitution-induced variation of interatomic distances, the 5f-ligand hybridization and the consquent changes of the 5f-electron character are discussed to cause the observed evlution of magnetism in the studied compounds

Výsledky krystalové struktury a magnetizačních měření pevných roztoků UCoAl_{1 - y}Si_y a UCoAl_{1 - y}Ge_y jsou uvedeny. Substitucí indukovaná změna meziatomových vzdáleností, 5f-ligand hybridizace a následná změna charakteru 5f elektronů, které způsobují vývoj magnetizmu studovaných materiálů, jsou diskutovány
