    Proteomic profiling of cancer cells was carried out with a view to adressing leukemia and its treatment with perspective towards novel diagnostic and / or treatment modalities. Advances in cancer therapeutics and challenges for better patient outcome has lead to demands for individualised or personalised therapy and targeting of tumors for a better outcome. earlier protein changes that precede the on-set of apoptosis or changes in post-translational modifications were studied using proteomic analysis of cells treated with anti-cancer drug Cis-platin. To reliably quantify maximum number of proteins in the whole cell lysate, combination of three proteomic methodologies namely 2-DE electrophoresis, PF 2D liquid chromatography and SILAC were used
