Talc-rich rocks (talc, chlorite-talc, chlorite-actinolite-talc schists and soapstone) from the Sobotín village surrounding (Jeseníky Mts., North-West Moravia, Czech Republic) were broadly used for stone and sculpture work in this region from the 17th till the19th centuries. A detail mapping of stone and sculpture monuments was carried out. On the example of Crucifix from the Klepáčov municipality an alternative approach to restoration of this type of rock using acrylic resin was shown. Acrylic resin (Paraloid B72) was used for consolidation of disintegrated parts. For modelling of missing parts the mixture of acrylic resin with crushed original rock was applied. The whole technique of restoration was led by a clear attempt on preservation of a colour authenticity of newly applied materials and with attention paid to extreme climatic condition of the locality.

The paper briefly reviews one of the proposed methods of probabilistic reliability assessment of anchoring reinforcement, usable in mine excavations and underground workings. Application of this concept – software „Kotvení“ was especially developed for this purpose using DDFPM (Direct Determined Fully Probabilistic Method).
