The name of painter of images Julia Reitlinger (1898-1988), who was a spiritual pupil of father Sergej Bulgakov, is connected first of all with Petersburg, Paris, Tashkent. The years she had spent in Czechoslovakia can be divided into two periods. The artist studied in Prague in the 1920s and after World War II she found herself in Czechoslovakia again. For many years she waited there to get visa to enter the USSR. The author of the article analyzes Julia Reitlinger´screative activity of that time. She also values preserved works by an artist as well as those which were in the territories of Bohemia and Slovakia and are not available now: among the latter. There can be found a composition Deisus in the Cathedral of St. Cyril and Methodius in Prague (1947-1948), iconostasis and murals in cathedral-memorial in Medzilaborce (1946-1952).
