Antické sochařství bylo důležitým inspiračním zdrojem tvorby českého sochaře a německý klasický archeolog se ve svých experimentech se sádrovými odlitky antických soch bez účasti sochaře neobešel. Nemáme však žádné důkazy o tom, že by Myslbek s Kleinem osobně spolupracoval na rekonstrukci nějaké antické sochy. V národnostně polarizované Praze přelomu 19. a 20. století se dráhy německého vědce a českého sochaře ani protknout nemohly. The ancient sculpture was an essential source of inspiration for the Czech sculptor, and the German classical archaeologist could not do without the participation of a sculptor in his experiments with plaster casts of ancient statues. However, we have no evidence that Myslbek personally collaborated with Klein on the reconstruction of any ancient sculpture. In the ethnically polarised Prague of the late 19th and early 20th century, the paths of the German scientist and the Czech sculptor could not have crossed.
