A significant similarity of mortars from three Czech (Prague) mosaics was found. They contained 12–21 wt% linseed oil. Their technology was based on traditional 17th‐century recipes. Their Austrian origin seems highly probable. Two remaining mortar beds differed not only from the Prague mosaics but also from each other.
