The article places special emphasis on the paradoxical conceptualization of politics as something both irredeemable and inexpendable, both dirty and sacred. Through this analysis, the author argues that critical philosophy was gradually substituted over this period with a notion of immutable “truth” that was supposed to accepted and defended against critics.
