Such negative perceptions, either cognitive, or more often emotional, even seem to be habitually regarded as a normal and natural result of the very essence of Islam or, more precisely, of an incorrect interpretation of this religion, a religion that is spreading rapidly. The current Czech attitudes and approaches towards Islam, therefore, could easily be labeled as “Islamophobia without Muslims”. The essay discusses the manifestations and paradoxes of anti-Muslim sentiments in the Czech Republic.
