The occurrence and duration of paresthesia was evaluated 4 weeks, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year after surgery. In the development of inferior alveolar nerve paresthesia, the type of inferior alveolar nerve exposure and the split is much less important than the side where the split is carried out.
