The construction of the theatre was highly supported by Kladno amateur theatrical Sokol society: Tyl, whose members are often the poorest strata of the population, nevertheless they managed to bring the construction works to final realisation. The building was built between 1909-1912 designed by architect Jaroslav Rössler and Emil Count builder.
