The response of the cell lines to the tested compounds differed substantially. The study demonstrated the potency of EOM to induce oxidative damage to DNA, lipids and proteins in HepG2 cells, but not in HEL cels. The analysis also showed that c-PAHs had less ability to cause oxidative damage.
