The long-time interest in it showed negative results and its bad physical state initiated efforts to restore it. Nevertheless, technical problems seemed for some time badly soluble, and the conservator works were successful only in 1981-1983 and in 1985 when the binding was restored in the craft room of the National Museum Library in Prague.
