Simultaneous measurement of passive tracer concentration and vertical wind component with high temporal resolution was conducted in the wind tunnel. This is a unique experimental method and it allows to directly derive the advective and turbulent vertical transport. The importance of a proper determination of the vertical turbulent fluxes at the edge of the plume and at the roof top level is emphasised.
