Our data indicate that the inhibitory effect of baclofen on AC in cortex and thalamus is primarily mediated through the alpha subunits of Gi/Go proteins. The stimulatory effect of baclofen in hippocampus may be explained by engagenement of Gbetagamma-subunits.
