The complex is very sensitive to light-induced damage and therefore there exists a repair mechanism based on selective replacement of a single protein subunit D1 which allows a fast restoration of PSII activity. The work summarizes authors’ recent achievements in the study of PSII assembly and repair mechanisms in cyanobacteria Pracoviště Mikrobiologický ústav Kontakt Eliška Spurná, eliska.spurna@biomed.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 231 Rok sběru 2008
