Cross section of the microchannel is 10 by 0.266 mm2, orientation is vertical. Bubbles are generated by electrodes built in the front and rear walls of the microchannel. The amount of generated gas is determined by controlling electric current applied to the electrodes. Two-phase flow in thin-gap channel is visualized with digital camera, and images are processed in Matlab to obtain reported flow characteristics. Flow pattern and void fraction are evaluated for different operating condition, e.g. liquid flow rates and applied electric current. Finally, the effect of bubbles on the microreactor performance is commented. Pracoviště Ústav chemických procesů Kontakt Eva Jirsová, jirsova@icpf.cas.cz, Tel.: 220 390 227 Rok sběru 2008
