We show that pheromone induced surface protein Aga1 is necessary for this invasive behaviour. We also found that this invasion specifically requires Fus3 kinase whose function cannot be substituted by Kss1 kinase. Fus3p and Aga1p dependence distinguishes the isw2Gamma MATAlfa cells invasion from the pheromone-induced invasive growth.
