The conference addressed Bolzano’s time, life and work and served to present Wolfgang Künne’s opus magnum Bernard Bolzano. Seine Zeit und sein Leben, sein Werk und seine Wirkung. The morning session focused on the Bohemian lands during Bolzano’s time, addressing its society and culture in general, the educational system and the University of Prague, and the business of making books. The afternoon session focused on Bolzano’s life and work, commenting on Künne’s work, who closed on a high note with a lecture on Bolzano’s practical philosophy.
