Collective monograph dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the birth of Slovak archaeologist Ľubomíra Kaminská brings 18 contributions from the pens of leading Central European specialists in Palaeolithic archaeology, Quaternary geology, anthropology, palaeoecology and other related fields studying the Pleistocene and Holocene. The chapters, presenting information from new research, results of new analyses, or newly published studies, cover various areas and topics related to interdisciplinary research on the Stone Age in Central Europe (provenance and technology of lithic artefacts, settlement and subsistence strategies, chronological relationships, paleoecological reconstructions). Although the authors use different approaches and methods in their work, the unifying element of this varied mosaic is the attempt to show how a wide range of archaeological sources can be interpreted in different ways and how they can be used for further research.
