The manuscripts research shows that the tradition of weather forecasting at the University of Prague was not noticeably outstanding, especially compared to the tradition in Cracow, and compared to Aristotelian meteorology, which was widely studied at the medieval University of Prague. (Derived from the Aristotelian tradition, medieval meteorology studied the material and efficient causes of meteorological and similar phenomena. That is why meteorology excluded the field of weather forecasting, which was built on the study of the primary causes, namely the movement of celestial objects.) This study seeks to answer the question, to what extent medieval Czech scholars engaged in weather forecasting, where they learned about this particular field of study, and what it included.
