V letošním roce oslavilo výročí 20. let od svého vzniku Oddělení environmentální geografie, Ústavu geoniky AV ČR, v.v.i. v Brně. Brněnská pobočka Ústavu geoniky vznikla v roce 1993 v rámci transformace tehdejší Akademie věd České republiky z části Geografického ústavu AV ČR. Do dnešní doby jde o jediné geografické pracoviště v rámci Akademie věd ČR. V příspěvku jsou uvedeny hlavní směry a výsledky výzkumu i informace o časopisu Moravian Geographical Reports (vydáván oddělením), který je od počátku indexován v databázi Scopus a v letošním roce byl zařazen mezi časopisy databáze Web of Science (Social Sciences Citation Index).

This year celebrated its 20th anniversary years since its foundation the Department of Environmental Geography, Institute of Geonics AS CR in Brno. Brno branch of the Institute of Geonics was established in 1993 under the then transformation of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic from the Institute of Geography of the ASCR. To current period, this is the only geographical workplace within the ASCR. Main direction and results of research are presented in the article. Journal Moravian Geographical Reports published by the Department, from the outset indexed in Scopus. This year has been ranked among the magazines database Web of Science (Social Sciences Citation
