V roce 2023 uběhlo 50 let od ropné krize 1973, která se stala světovou energetickou krizí. Přinesla průmyslově vyspělým evropským státům, s odstupem a v návaznosti na hospodářské problémy SSSR pak i zemím středovýchodní Evropy v rámci sovětského bloku, poznání o zranitelnosti jejich ekonomického blahobytu a bezpečnosti, jakož i uvědomění si kritické závislosti na dodávkách energosurovin a klíčového významu dostupných a levných energií pro udržení sociální soudržnosti, bezpečnosti států a odolnosti společnosti.
Cílem mezinárodní konference pořádané institucemi ze tří zemí, bylo zhodnotit problematiku zásobování palivy a energií ve střední Evropě v průběhu 20. století a zároveň prozkoumat souvislosti mezi energetikou, bezpečností, zájmy (podnikatelskými, společenskými a státními) a politikou v různých společenských systémech.


In 2023 it is 50 years since the oil crisis of 1973, which brought industrialised European countries, and later, following the economic problems of the USSR, also Central European countries in the Soviet Bloc, knowledge of the vulnerability of their economic prosperity and security, as well as awareness of their critical dependence on supplies of raw energy materials and the key importance of available and cheap energy for maintaining social cohesion, state security and a resilient society
The aim of the international conference organised by institutions from three countries, was to assess the issue of fuel and energy provision in Central Europe during the 20th century, and at the same time examine the connection between energy, security, interests (business, society and state) and politics in various social systems.
