    Shape memory alloys and mainly Ni-Ti system created its own industry branches. Although the tons of Nitinol produced each year, the improvement of casting is still in progress. Production of Nitinol is expensive due to the requested quality and reactivity of titanium. Conventionally cast alloys suffer by the precipitated particles of carbides and other inclusion, which harm the drawing process of thin wire preparation. To avoid contamination from crucible during casting pure elements self-propagating high-temperature synthesis (SHS) or combustion synthesis (CS) self-combustion self-heating synthesis is used. The preparation process is optimized with respect to the preheating, initial green body structure (including mechanical alloying) and ternary addition. The initial samples suffer with high porosity, which would be minimized by other processing steps: milling and spark plasma synthesis (SPS) of original SHS produced material.
