These chants altogehter form a body of 311 items edited in the volume. The edition is accompained by thourough critical apparatus and an introductory study. The edition may provide useful insights into the problem of the veneration of Saints during the Czech reformation apart from its musicological and liturgical benefits. The publication of the Czech liturgical chants introduces the Czech plainchant of the sixteenth century to the academic world for the first time in the form of the critical edition.
