Expression of pheA2A1, catABC and pheR was induced by phenol, whereas incomplete autorepression of catR ensured its low constant expression. Induction of the genes pheA2A1 and catABC by phenol was repressed by succinate, but not by glucose. PheR (AraC type) was shown to act as an activator of P-pheA. CatR (IclR type) functioned as a repressor of both P-catA and P-catR Pracoviště Mikrobiologický ústav Kontakt Eliška Spurná, eliska.spurna@biomed.cas.cz, Tel.: 241 062 231 Rok sběru 2010
