The following characteristics were used for comparing the products and the effects attained: gel precipitation, penetration depth measured by ultrasonic waves, strength in relation to penetration depth, smoothness of material changes along the depth profile, bending strength, Young’s modulus of elasticity, the thermal dilation coefficient and moisture dilation coefficient - all along the depth profile, water uptake, vapour permeability and pH of the agent.
