Language eng - English Country IL - Israel Keywords cerebral infarction ; solar activity ; geomagnetic activity ; cross-regression Subject RIV DE - Earth Magnetism, Geodesy, Geography CEZ AV0Z30120515 - GFU-E (2005-2011) Annotation The 16 years long time series of monthly frequencies of cerebral infarctions observed in Nové Zámky, Slovakia, was cross-correlated to time series of solar and geomagnetic activity. A negative correlation was found for time shifts up to almost one year. It is concluded that these factors do not support the occurrence of the mentioned disease. Instead, an opposite relation appears to be true. Workplace Geophysical Institute Contact Hana Krejzlíková, kniha@ig.cas.cz, Tel.: 267 103 028 Year of Publishing 2008
