Anotace
The paper presents the results of theoretical stability investigation of a steam bubble shell round a hot drop in liquid. Fluid viscosity, surface tension and liquid-vapor transition are taken into account. Condition of the shell stability are obtained in the form of algebraic expressions. For the case when fluid is represented by water, the shell is stable for a fluid temperature below some critical value and it is unstable for fluid temperature higher than this critical value.
