Annotation
The concept of inductive effect was revisited on isolated molecules separately in the neutral molecules of acids (bases) and in anions (cations). Quantitative estimation was based on the gas-phase enthalpies of ionization and enthalpies of formation, some lacking values were substituted bycalculations at the MP2.
