The possible cause of these changes may be found not only in progressive stress-deformational changes due to undermining but also in the changing regime of the groundwater. Confrontation of the levelled height changes with the height of the groundwater level shows that the regime of the groundwater may be a substantial cause of surface height changes. Also the resistivity anomalies found by geophysical measurements can be caused by change of hydro-geological regime.
