V studii je sledován vztah mezi Masarykovým chápáním sekularizovaného světa a literaturou soustředěnou na postavy moderních titánů (Faust, Kain, Manfred ad.). Autor interpretuje tuto literaturu jako symptomatickou pro modernu na jedné straně a jako reflexi prohlubující se krize na straně druhé. Svou analýzu těsně váže na otázku náboženskou a na problémy soudobé filosofie.
Překlad anotace
The study follows the relation between Masaryk’s understanding of secularized world and the literature focused on personalities of modern Titans (Faust, Cain, Manfred, et al.). The author interprets this literature as symptomatic for modernity on one hand and on the other hand as reflection of deepening crisis. He connects closely his analysis with both the issue of religion and problems of contemporary philosophy.
