Wild strain, the isolates prepared by protoplasting, basidiospore isolation and by crossing of basidiospore-derived isolates were grown under different conditions (liquid culture, solid state fermentation, soil, heavy metal stress conditions) and their ligninolytic (laccase, peroxidases) cellulolytic (endo-1,4-Beta-glucanase, exo-1,4-Beta-glucanase, 1,4-Beta-glucosidase) and hemicellulolytic (endo-1,4-Beta-xylanase, 1,4-Beta-xylosidase and 1,4-Beta-mannosidase) enzyme production was characterized. Selected isolates were tested for the degradation of 14C-labelled lignocellulose and the degradative capacity was determined.
