In organizing the First Colloquium on the Modalities of the Good the speakers and respondents seek to open a new space for the 'Platonic' tradition in the ethics with the help of contributions such as Simone Weil, Roy Holland, Iris Murdoch, Rai Gaita and Cora Diamond.
