Only limited attention has been given up to now to the problem of carbide stability at low service temperatures (around 500-600ř) for low-alloy Cr-Mo-X (X=V,W) steels, especially from the theoretical point of view. Relevant phase equilibria were calculated by the help of THERMOCALC program and compared with experimental results, to precise the thermodynamic parameters for the low-temperature region.
