The polymerization mixture containing two effective crosslinking agents, pentaerythritol tetraacrylate and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanemethacrylate, together with n-octadecyl methacrylate, methanol, dodecyl alcohol and polyethylenglycol lauryl ether was used to prepare a highly cross-linked monilith in fused silica capillaries within a wide range of inner diameters. The results confirmed that the designed polymerization mixture is suitable for the preparation of monolithic columns with inner diameter of 50-530 micrometer.
